Not Impressed, Changed to this dentist practice as my previous dentist has retired and needed to be able to get a late appointment. After all the paper filling in, eventually got an appointment as one of my teeth was really painful, took time off of work to go, all that went on was an examination, pointing out that the tooth had a problem (Doh why would i go if it had not had one), filling in the NHS form, signing it for the payment of band 3 , then saying think you need to see our hygienist at 70 and making me another appointment to actually do the work but 3 weeks later. On my return, I had a filling done and then was told that they would not remove the tooth and I would have to be referred to a dental practice that is a specialists in tooth extraction, which is a minimum of 9 weeks wait !!!!!, then we must see you every 3 months to check on your teeth ...... why ??? i only every went either 6 or 12 months with my other dentist....Now looking to go back to my original dentist, all these seem to care about are private patients and NHS ones on the side just to show they care ................................
At my recent check up the Dentist seemed to just fill in the NHS form, count my fillings and ask me to sign...all in 5 mins. When I mentioned the tooth that had split horizontally she just said if it bothers you have it out I asked was there risk of infection and she saidyes No further advise offered I left speechless....I then went into my hygienist apt ...NOW 70!!!!!!!!! He gave me a full examination ....spookily more like a dentist! I have a sneaky feeling that these are con artists NHS work is minimal and a box ticking exercise.
Mr Woodgate has been my brilliant y dentist for many years and even though I have moved to the coast I travel to see him for treatment because I would not have any other dentist...
After making an error in my referral and sending me all the way to Maidstone, instead of two teeth being removed this dentist told them one in the letter. This left me with one tooth being removed and the other braking in half. The clinic in Maidstone refused to remove the half tooth without a new referral. After spending the weekend in agony I made an emergency appointment on Monday, to which I was told I would have to wait another week to have the half tooth removed, despite their error. I was told he did not have time to remove it now, leaving me another week of pain. I was not offered any painkillers. They were very keen to remind me of all the costs though, and to ensure I booked a check up and removal so they could charge me twice. All in all more concerned about taking your money than helping you out. Avoid at all costs.
I got a white filling done and it was done extremely well.
