Im 65 and visited my doctor with pains down my leg and was told that people of my age have arthritis and took no notice that I have pins and needles down my leg and find it difficult to walk. I know I have a trapped nerve. I was also told the NHS doesnt have endless funds. I wasnt offered anything to resolve the problem. I work out in the gym 4 days a week and walk with a group on Wednesday and also dance onc a week. I now cant do this for the last 2 weeks. If they are worried about cost Im sure its more expensive to leave a situation to get worse before it needs major surgery as the NHS did with my shoulder. Mostly they have been good and caring but am not happy with the ageism they have applied to me recently. Up to recently I would have applied 4 stars to them.
Dr Jones is excellent. Really listens and takes any concerns seriously for investigation. My daughter and i are relived to have access to the 1% of GPs that's actually care and know what their talking about ! Very happy.
Apparently an Asthma attack isn't an emergency. Refused an emergency inhaler at pharmacy. Registered asthmatic. Disgraceful.
